European Triathlon Championships
Glasgow 2018 host venue for Triathlon, this scenic parkland and loch in North Lanarkshire has a long track-record of hosting major events including triathlon at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Temporary grandstands will allow fans a prime view of the action as Europe’s best triathletes compete for the chance to become the 2018 European Champions.
The venue has a variety of accessible seating options available for spectators. These include:
Wheelchair accessible areas: Each purchased wheelchair accessible ticket will be entitled to one complimentary companion seat next to the wheelchair space.
Easy Access Seating for spectators who, for whatever reason, would like to be seated near the entrance/exit or toilet facilities. Where eligible a companion ticket will be complimentary.
Anywhere in venue seating for spectators who don’t need easy access seating but require a companion; where eligible the companion ticket will be complimentary.
Eligibility for complimentary companion ticket is based on ticket holder having one of the following items:
- DLA/PIP award at middle or higher rate for care/mobility
- DLA / PIP award at middle or high rate for care /mobility
- National Entitlement card with the carer element C1
- Recognised companion cards for cinema/theatre
- Registered blind /deaf
The venue has disabled toilets and assistance dogs are welcome; a dog rest area will be provided.
A limited number of blue badge parking spaces will be available later.
Nearest Railway Station: Airbles Station, Motherwell
Nearest Car Park: There are various car parks in Strathclyde Country Park which will be open for all park users. There is no exclusive event parking.
