What's happening at Festival 2018 on Sunday 12 August

Celtic Connections curate the closing night party at George Square with free music from 5pm. See a folk and world music feast with Malian singer and guitarist Fatoumata Diawara, Galician trio Tanxugeira, Shooglenifty, Ross Ainslie & Jarlath Henderson and Siobhan Miller.

There are art workshops for all ages presented by Project Ability at Trongate 103 at 11am and 2pm, and a family ceilidh at Merchant Square at 5pm.

Hot foot it to the Old Fruitmarket at 2pm for a tea dance with music from That Swing Sensation, and discover the delights of the Surge street festival with impromptu performances and music all day long.

Indulge in delicious Scottish street food, live music and DJs at Candleriggs Square all day, and food workshops at Civic Canteen at 40 John Street. And listen out for live music all day at stages in Brunswick Street, Osborne Street, Chisholm Street and Virginia Street.

GO LIVE! at the Green from 10am to 7pm, has entertainment, have-a-go sports, delicious food and a chance to meet some of the European Championship athletes. Don’t miss Velophoic Orchestra at 5.30pm, using bicycles as instruments.

Children’s activities continue at Tramway, and GO LIVE! at the Park at Strathclyde Country Park offers circus workshops, dance, performance and music for all ages.
