Scottish ICT specialist NVT Group joins roster of Glasgow 2018 sponsors

NVT Group named as Official Networks and Network Integration Services Supporter for Glasgow 2018

Leading Scottish ICT specialist, NVT Group, has today been announced as the Official Networks and Network Integration Services Supporter of the Glasgow 2018 European Championships.

NVT Group, through its AiiR Networks business, will provide telecommunications services, internet access and network integration to venues across Glasgow 2018 – a new must-attend, must-watch multi-sport event to be staged between 2 and 12 August 2018.

Following a competitive tendering process, NVT Group has been chosen to provide a host of Network design, consultancy and connectivity services to competition and non-competition venues including internet access, broadcast connectivity and telephony services.

The Championships will see some of Europe’s best athletes compete in Aquatics, Cycling, Golf, Gymnastics, Rowing and Triathlon in Glasgow and Scotland, while Berlin will host Athletics.

Working across the six sports hosted in Scotland, NVT Group company AiiR Networks will also co-ordinate the delivery of technology services and oversee network design, architecture and information security to ensure a successful Championships.

Glasgow 2018 Championships Director, Colin Hartley, said: “The inaugural European Championships mark a new era for sport and we are set to deliver a truly memorable 11-day celebration of sporting competition and culture.

With a potential television audience of up to 1.03 billion across Europe set to watch the action, Glasgow will again be in the spotlight with the event being covered by free-to-air broadcasters, including the BBC, across the continent.
