Bonnie leaps into a jam-packed spring crammed with exciting activities

The adventurous Glasgow 2018 seal pup has enjoyed a jam-packed spring so far.

Cramming lots more activities into her schedule, she’s taking full advantage of the longer days and lighter nights.

From gymnastics at Allander Gymnastics Club to hitting the Scottish Golf Show, Bonnie has been all over Scotland, perfecting and practicing her sporting skills and meeting lots of wonderful people along the way.

Earlier this year Bonnie asked all of her pals to have a go at drawing her taking part in their favourite Glasgow 2018 sport, for the chance to win a special prize.

Schoolchildren from across Scotland showed their artistic talents and dived right in, submitting hundreds of awesome pictures and Bonnie seal-iously loved all of their creative entries.

Rachel Morrison, age 13 from Knightswood, bagged the top spot with her awesome picture of Bonnie showing off her BMX skills.

Rachel got to meet Bonnie and received four tickets to the Glasgow 2018 European Junior Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (Final) on Friday 3 August - not to mention a cuddly Bonnie toy!

Bonnie has lots of golf fun with Glasgow 2018 Golf ambassador Carly Booth and Scottish Open mascot Dimples

Bonnie grabbed her clubs and donned her golf hat for the Scottish Golf Show at the SEC.

The mascot got a chance to tee off with newly announced Glasgow 2018 Golf ambassador Carly Booth.

The sporty seal pup also got a chance to perfect her golf swing, with a little help from none other than pro golfer Becky Brewerton.

Bonnie the seal took a trip to Stirling, exploring some of the city’s iconic landmarks.

Starting with a trip to the historic grounds of Stirling Castle, Bonnie then explored the infamous Wallace Monument and The Dunmore Pineapple.

Bonnie also took the opportunity to visit the picturesque spots in Stirling that will stage the Glasgow 2018 European Cycling Road Championships women’s time trial event. The event will see some of Europe’s elite road cyclists race through the streets of Stirling in the women’s time trial event this August.

Bonnie backs Derek Murray’s 24-hour Sport Relief poolathon

Bonnie spent an afternoon at BBC Scotland cheering on new pal, presenter Derek Murray, as he took on a poolathon challenge - playing pool for a whopping 24 hours straight in aid of Sport Relief - what fun!

Always up for a challenge, Bonnie chalked off her cue to test her pool skills by having a game with Derek.

Bonnie made lots of new mascot friends at the Glasgow Warriors match against Italian side Zebre when she took part in a half-time mascot race.

She had so much fun running on the pitch at Scotstoun Sports Campus with a stellar line up of mascots including Glasgow Warriors mascot Clyde the Highland cow.
